The Network Future Land, the Federal Environment Agency, the AGES and the Austrian Soil Science Society invite to the cooperation event in the framework of the Soil Forum Austria:
Back to the Roots: The Importance of Fiel Soil Science for Practice and Modrn Science
This year's Autumn Soil Forum will be dedicated to the topic of field soil science, building on the "Soil Compartments" created as part of an educational project, which are intended to enable farmers to easily identify their soils and thus expand their knowledge of the importance and function of soils. The focus is on a practical day during which the identification of soils is practiced in the course of an excursion and conclusions are drawn for agricultural practice.
The second day of the event will be devoted to the scientific processing of soil data obtained in this way and will show which applications are based on the collection of soil data. The well-established soil information session will conclude the event.
