Official Kick-off of Power of Soil Competition!

Landesrat Dr. Stephan Pernkopf and President of Provinical Parliament Hans Penz, Eng. (Provincial Forum) opened the competition

The current competition, inviting Lower Austrian school boys and girls to express their impressions of the "Power of Soil", was initiated by the Provincial Forum, the Department of Rural Development, the Lower Austrian educational board and the Department for agricultural education.


Lower Austrian school boys and girls are invited to express their impressions of the "Power of Soil" in four different categories. Date of closure for the competition will be March 1st, 2010.

Elementary school (1st to 4th form)
"Paint a soil poster"

Lower stage (5th to 8th form)
"Create a soil stamp"

Pupils and students starting from the 9th form
"Produce a video or a clip on the power of soil"

Pupils and students starting from the 9th form
"Convince by means of a photo or a photo composition for our soil"
