Soil is a finite commodity. Careless use of it has fatal consequences for our future. Existential challenges arise in relation to global warming and severe weather events, food security, biodiversity, health and social justice. A differentiated and holistic discussion about the actual needs in terms of resources - from square meters of built-up area to food and energy production on agricultural land - as well as our consumption behavior is needed to bring about changes in behavior and to tackle appropriate measures. More
