4th EU Macro-Regional Strategies Week, 24-28 April 2023, Brussels

Dear Madam/ Sir,

We have the pleasure to invite you to the 4th EU Macro-Regional Strategies Week 2023, which will take place from 24 to 28 April 2023 in hybrid format. The event is organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy.      

This year’s edition follows the motto “Transform to Thrive” centred around three themes: Energy, Skills and Funding.

Programme overview 

Online

From 24 April in the morning until 26 April midday, digital stakeholder sessions will cover the three themes. 

Hybrid

In the afternoon of 26 April, Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, will officially open the EU MRS Week joined by the four EU MRS presidencies. Plenary sessions around the three themes will follow from the afternoon of 26 April until 27 April. 

Online

On the morning of 28 April, the 15th High Level Group (HLG) meeting will be livestreamed to follow the discussions. 

Participation on 26-27 April

EU MRS key implementers and representatives of EU institutions will have the possibility to follow the hybrid plenary sessions on 26 and 27 April either online or on-site at the Event Lounge in Brussels.
We strongly advise EU MRS key implementers to register as such while inserting the correct strategy function to select their preferred form of participation. Other participants will be very much welcomed to join the event online. 

To make the event as interactive as possible for online participants, the plenary sessions on 26-27 April will be offering room to forward questions to the speakers via slido.
