New Date of Submission – 2012 Creative Competition “Our Homeland – a Place for Feeling Good”
On account of the large number of requests and interest from Lower Austrian schools, educators, and pupils, the working group, consisting of the Forum Land, the Department of Rural Development of the Office of the Lower Austrian Government, the Lower Austrian Educational Board, the agricultural vocational schools and the new partner, Rural Youth Lower Austria, has decided to postpone the date of submission from February to March. Thus the pupils have some more time for their creative development and participation in the competition.
New date of submission is March 9, 2012 - we are looking forward to receiving many further individual paintings from our pupils!
Information about the competition:
In the course of the creative competition „Our homeland - a place for feeling good", children and teenagers are invited to intensely and creatively deal with their familiar surroundings and the soil on which they live, to express their feelings and experience in an artistic and creative manner, and to narrate about the basic values, which have for a long time shaped our society, and which have to be redefined today, by the young!
There are 2 distinct categories:
Elementary school and lower grade (1st to 8th form)
Draw or paint the place, where you most feel at ease in your native place, for instance your own room, when you are reading, playing and so on, the village fountain or the sports ground, your school, a supermarket, when you are working with your parents, and much more - whatever comes to your mind!
Pupils and students starting from the 9th form
Send us a photo or a photo composition about the place or the places, where you most feel at ease in your native place (for suggestions of topics, see above). Children and teenagers are invited to intensely and creatively deal with their familiar surroundings and with the soil, on which they live, to express their feelings and experience in an artistic and creative manner, to narrate something about the basic values, which have for a long time shaped our society, and which have to be redefined now, by the young!
The pieces of art will be assessed by a well-known jury, and the best drawings/photos shall be priced and awarded great prizes.
The awards ceremony will take place on April 25, 2012 in the Conference Hall of the Provincial Parliament of the Office of the Lower Austrian Government in St. Poelten.
