Take the Paintbrush, Ready, Go!
Kick-off of Cross-Border Competition of „Painting with the Colours of the Earth”
The soil colour paint boxes have been finished and distributed to schools, the period of application has ended, and so the way to the official kick-off of the competition is open.
Within the framework of the SONDAR ETC project (European Territorial Cooperation), the paint box was produced from domestic cottonwood by EMMAUS St. Poelten, and filled with the "Colours of the Earth" from Slovakia, Hungary, and Lower Austria.
In the paint box, there are 5 colours from Slovakia, 5 colours from Hungary, and 5 colours and 2 kinds of structure material from Lower Austria.
The Slovak soil colours have been extracted from regional soils and bottled by the ELPIDA social project. The Hungarian soil colours have been extracted from surrounding soils and filled into jars by the Mosonmagyarovar school for handicapped children.
The finished paint box contains the 17 colours of the Earth as well as instructions for use about the current painting techniques as well as a sachet of baking soda for mixing the colour pigments.
