Kick-off of SONDAR CZ at the Soil Celebration at the Lower Austrian Provincial Museum
The soil celebration and at the same time the kick-off event of the SONDAR CZ (Soil Strategy Network in the Danube Region) ETC project took place as a climax of the exposition of "Pebble & Tassel" on October 21 in the Provincial Museum.
On Sunday, at the Lower Austrian Provincial Museum in St. Poelten a varied program was offered for young and old alike. The visitors of the museum were able to learn more about the topic of soil in exciting activities and workshops. Among others, they could enter the realm of the earthworm, and take a closer look on other soil animals using the mobile soil lab. The artists tried out pottery, painting stones or painting with the Colours of the Earth, and they were having great fun.
The partners of the SONDAR ETC project arrived from the Czech Republic, Lower Austria and Vienna, in order to celebrate the kick-off of this project within the framework of the soil celebration, and showed interest and enthusiasm about the program offered by the Provincial Museum. Also the exposition of "Pebble & Tassel" amazed many a visitor. As a crowning conclusion, a common soil colour painting was painted, where all partners and companions immortalized themselves artistically.
We give our thanks to all visitors, and mainly to the Czech project partner for their journey and participation, and we are looking forward to successful cooperation.
