Virtual panel discussion "Significance of mission orientation in the Austrian policy mix" on 27.09.2022

The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research is hosting a virtual panel discussion on the "Significance of Mission Orientation in the Austrian Policy-mix" on September 27, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and cordially invites you to attend.

The European Union has launched five missions funded in the context of the European research program Horizon Europe: Fighting Cancer, Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change, Promoting Climate-Resilient Cities, Health of our Soils and Waters.

This approach will be complemented by complementary efforts in Austria: In the fall of 2022, the federal government will adopt an "Implementation Framework for EU Missions in Austria," which will include Austria-specific activities from research to application along the five EU missions.

At the event on September 27, the key statements from two recent studies on mission policy in Austria by Joanneum Research/AIT and WIFO will be presented, prominent representatives from basic research will have their say and a concrete example of mission orientation in action will be presented. The event will conclude with an outlook on the implementation phase of the five EU missions in Austria.

More information about the event and the possibility to register can be found on our website: https://www.ffg.at/europa/veranstaltungen/2022-09-27

With the registration confirmation you will also receive the zoom link for the event.

We look forward to your participation!

With kind regards
