This exposition showed pieces of art painted with soil colours from schools in Lower Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The school girls and boys participating have committed themselves for some years to the creative opportunities in painting and designing with soil colours, gained directly from soil, under artistic supervision by Prof. Irena Racek from Sitzendorf in the Wine Quarter.
In some projects of territorial cooperation with neighbouring countries, subsidized by the European Union, in 300 schools approx. 35,000 school girls and boys have painted with soil colours. Hundreds of pieces of art have come into existence. A selection thereof can now be viewed in Bratislava until February 8, 2013.
