ROWAN AND CHOKEBERRY HYBRIDS
(Sorbus aucuparia x Aronia spec.)

Varieties:

'Sorbaronia Saule', found in Latvia. Several similar varieties with red or violet fruits: 'Titan', 'Likornaja', 'Burka', 'Granatnaja', 'Dippel'. All extremely frost resistant.


Growth habit and height:

Shrubs, 3 -5 m tall. Can also be grown as a small tree.


Location

Sun/semi-shade, not particular, various types of soil.


Uses

Fruits in August. Jam blends with prunes, plums or apples.
