SONDAR: Invitation of Czech and Slovakian Representatives of Municipalities to the Member Region of the Soil and Land Alliance of Lilienfeld!
On Monday, July 2nd, 2012, Czech and Slovakian representatives of various municipalities in the region of the White Carpathians were invited to the district of Lilienfeld. The participants were offered a varied programme, supported by the Lilienfeld Waste Association, the Lower Austrian Government, Department of Rural Development, as well as the municipalities of Kaumberg, St. Veit and Hainfeld and representatives of the SONDAR project.
After a short greeting at the „Maria Theresia" Coffeeshop at Kaumberg, the composting plant of the municipality of St. Veit at Wiesenfeld was visited. After lunch at Hainfeld, the participants were shown the new municipal center.
In the afternoon, the guests were greeted by the Chairman of the European Land and Soil Alliance, Christian Steiner, Grad. Eng., and guided to the Araburg Castle. Mayor Mr. Singraber, Chairman of SENEC, informed about distinctive features of the Castle.
Baker Mr. Singraber handed over a large number of baked creations to the guests at the Maria Theresia Coffeeshop on the occasion of the five o'clock tea.
Much experience was exchanged, and the next steps concerning the SONDAR projects were determined. It is the aim to acquire the municipalities invited within the framework of the SONDAR project as active members of the European Land and Soil Alliance.
Furthermore, a cross-border sale of regional products was discussed. First pilot trials shall be implemented still in 2012.
After a nice and informative day, the visitors gave their thanks to the organizers, and invited them in their turn to their home municipalities.
