Secluded Consultation about the Topic of „Painting with the Colours of the Earth”

On November 3^rd, the Lower Austrian soil colour team met at the Lilienhof in St. Poelten, in order to review the activities of the past year, and to prepare themselves as well as possible for the coming season 2012, as well as to get to know new painting techniques within the framework of a seminar with soil colour artist Prof. Irena Racek.

On account of this important exchange of experience between the persons in charge of the paint stands of the Department of Rural Development and the organizers about past events, as well as about possibilities of improvement and wishes for future events, measures have been taken in order to organize the 2012 season more effectively on both sides.

Also the further cooperation with the info bio peasant women from BIO AUSTRIA in the coming year has been affirmed. At this point, we want to give our special thanks for the good cooperation to Sonja Willim and Andreas Karl.

The following seminar with artist Irena Racek was very informative. She introduced the participants to painting techniques, as well as the production of new, natural binding agents, such as cherry tree gum and low-fat curd. It goes without saying that this application was put into practice afterwards with much commitment, and such some soil pieces of art have come into existence.
